The only critique I would have with this chair is that the seat cushion could use a little more padding. What everyone says about this chair is true. I needed an extra high chair for my drafting table for working from home. This was a fair price, it was easy to assemble. It does not have a reclining chair back and I have only started to experiment with the seat tilt. But it is more than adequate. The stool I was using was rescued on its way to the dumpster at the office so this is a major upgrade for me.As others have said the foot rest around the bottom is hard to get to stay in place but as one reviewer said, get it where you want it and turn the screw with all your strength. My husband says if it doesn't stay put he will get something from the hardware store.Best advice, BUY THE WHEELS!!! They make the chair a 5 star chair. The wheels that come with it are the plastic ones that everyone hates. These also give it just a tiny bit more height. This one-"Office chair wheels replacement rubber chair casters for hardwood floors and carpet, set of 5, heavy duty office chair ball casters for chairs to replace office chair mats - Universal fit". Work like a dream and look cool too. Must have. This is a great chair! Extends to the full 32.5" height specified and supports all 6'4" and 225 lbs of me with ease.Back support is very good once adjusted, but it's not a "high back" chair, so the design isn't for everyone. That said, if you're taller like me, I recommend leaving out the small stop-screw at the base of the backrest so you can raise the back up another inch or so. This puts it just where I like it, personally, and the back is still held tight by the screw knob on the side. The metal base is awesome! In fact, I was extremely happy to discover that the base on this stool is identical to the premium metal base on my top-of-the-line HON office chair, which this stool is replacing now that I have a stand-up desk. I know from experience that this particular base is very durable and wonderfully stable without being "too" wide. Furthermore, the adjustable foot ring on this stool is well-sized and comfortable, even for a big-footed guy like me. I can't say the same for most of the budget (sub-200 price range) chairs out there. The seat is wide and comfortable with thick, nicely shaped padding. One reviewer complained that the seat tilted forward, but this is likely due to improper adjustment of the seat angle using the handles on the side of the chair or possibly that the person carries a lot of weight in the wrong places and it tends to "pull" them forward in the chair. Who knows. I haven't experienced any issues. The seat doesn't angle back at all, but getting it level and comfortable was no issue for me. Sitting deeper into the chair helps, as well. All in all, this a really great task stool that I can easily spend a few hours at a time in when needed. There's not much to it, but the parts it has are good quality and when it comes to these tall task/drafting type chairs, you really DO get what you are willing to pay for!Definitely a great buy! Highly recommended!I love the chair, but the lowest height it will go does not allow my knees to fit under the desk, so it doesn't work for me.I originally bought the Safco Reve Extended Height Mesh Task Chair but returned it after a week because it was uncomfortable for extended sitting. The Safco Vue Heavy Duty Task Chair is very well built and comfortable. Assembly was easy. The seat is durable fabric and the back rest is actual mesh fabric (not rubber like the Safco Reve Task chair). I did buy the optional arm rests and some Aloudy Ergonomic Memory Foam Office Chair Armrest Pads (because the optional Safco armrest pad are made of hard plastic). This was a pretty expensive chair with the accessories but well worth it for the quality and comfort. Just a work of caution...the tips of the legs that curve down to the where the wheels connect...are unfinished metal and very sharp. I have to "hop" up into the chair (because it sits pretty high up) and I'm often bare foot. The first week I had the chair, I tore a deep chunk into the back of my heal on one of the unfinished leg tips when hopping up into the seat. Ouch! You'll see what I'm talking about if you buy this chair. Lesson learned....I put black duct tape over all the leg tips to cover up the sharp lips. I still recommend this chair, however.Like many of us, I'm working from home A LOT now. When I began to experience shoulder pain, I knew I had to replace my too-low office chair with a taller chair and a footrest. Based on the number of positive reviews, I chose this chair.I like the chair. It was easy to assemble. Its sturdy. It supports me. (I'm 250#) It suits my needs. The breathable mesh back keeps me cool and is comfortable. However, the seat cushion is hard as a rock. So I wound up purchasing the Everlasting Comfort Seat Cushion for Office Chair from this site to address that. I also wound up replacing the gas cylinder with a two inch shorter version from this site. This made the chair more ergonomically suited to my 31" computer work surface, especially after the addition of the seat cushion.Even with the shorter cylinder, the chair is suitable for kitchen counter height use.If you are interested, the seat cushion may be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EBDV9BUThe 2 inch shorter cylinder may be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B1SM9O4I've tried many others, and was skeptical of the mesh, but it's held up way better than I thought. Would buy againIt is great chair for heavy large bottom people, it is very sturdy, strong and rolls wellVery will made . And strong . I recommend this chairChairs were better quality than I thought they would beLove this chair
