Product Description This APC battery backup power supply offers guaranteed power and surge protection for wireless networks, computers, and other small electronics in your home or business. Backup battery power supply is designed for use during outages and unsafe voltage fluctuations, and provides surge protector with battery backup in the event of damaging power surges and spikes. The APC Back-UPS series are the perfect battery backup for routers to keep you and your smart devices connected. Manufacturer's Notice In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Power Conversion Corporation (APC), of West Kingston, R.I., is voluntarily recalling about 900,000 back-up power supply devices. These devices are primarily used to protect computers in case of a power failure. The power supply device can fail, causing the unit to overheat, which may pose a fire hazard to consumers. APC has received six reports of units overheating resulting in the melting of the unit's outer casing and three reports of minor property damage. No injuries have been reported. The recalled Back-UPS® CS Uninterruptible Power Supply devices include the Back-UPS CS350 and the Back-UPS CS 500 models. The model number can be found on the front of the unit, along with the words, "Back-UPS CS" and "APC." In addition, one of the following numbers shows up on the bar code label located on the bottom of the unit: BK350, BK500, BK500BLK. The recalled power supply devices also have one of the following serial numbers - AB0048 through AB0251, BB0104 through BB0251, and JB0125 through JB0251 - which can be found on the bottom of the unit. Units with an "R" at the end of the serial number within the above ranges are not part of this recall. Retailers, computer and electrical distributors, and catalogs nationwide sold the power supply devices from November 2000 through December 2002 for between $70 and $130. Manufacturer Remedy Information Consumers should immediately stop using the power supply devices by turning off the power to all connected equipment, turning the Back- UPS CS off, and then unplugging it from the electrical outlet. To obtain a free replacement unit, consumers should contact the company at (866) APC-RELY (272-7359) between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or log on to the company's website at www.apc.com/rely See more

Immediately noticed quality in the packaging, then in the UPS itself. The installation and setup documentation was very good. This is obviously a commercial product we are using in our home, but I am pleased with the price and value and the performance so far. Worrying about lost work on the PC due to an outage is a thing of the past, and it comes with the added benefit of being able to keep working during a power outage! Recommended!Short backup but good for surgeThe back-up works well for its size, my PC & peripherals are doing just fine!Use for home computerWorks great and holds a charge for a couple hours when the power goes out. Great application for a backup for my elevator.I purchased this APC UPS back up for home use on a new pc. I have used APC for many years at work for this type of application. Batteries are easily had if replacements are needed at a later date. I get an average of 6 or 7 years on average. APC has always performed well for me when needed. Just be mindful to size correctly for your application. This Backup UPS works as stated. I've only had one power interruption of less than 1 minute since I got my UPS. It kicked on immediately. The hum others talked about is there, but I am usually involved in my work that I rarely notice it. The hum from my tower is louder. The main thing is the back up works and protects my equipment from a hard shut down.Huge disappointment. I needed a UPS with a minimum of 4 outlets, which this one has. BUT, they are so close together that my plugs don’t fit. What modern-day electronics use the old type of 2-prong plugs? I can use either my TV and satellite receiver or my internet and router, but not all 4! For the money, it{s just not worth it.Well my previous review was denied. It said that the product was faulty after two months. It was sold to me in a bad state. Now my reviews are being denied. That's the very point of reviewing things. My recommendation is to not buy from this person as they don't respect their customers. A "30 day policy" means your purchase can crap out after 32 days, which mine pretty much did. Amazon, you can't force great reviews.Beware. This product turned out to be too small for my needs. I was using it for a 3D printer. Every time the heat bed turned on the overload alarm went off. When I tried to return the item it said it was ineligible for return. Called amazon who contacted the seller. Eventually was allowed to return it with a $60 (roughly) restocking fee plus had to pay shipping myself. I’ve had it with third party vendors. From now on if it’s not shipped by amazon I won’t be buying it.Un cadeau de fête bien utile pour mon copain...La batería no carga al 100%, parece que es una batería de mucho tiempo y la venden como nueva. En la primera oportunidad de prueba por falta de luz solo duró 30 minutos con un router conectado de consumo de 10 watts.
