i loved this record when this was released exactly 32 years ago from now in january 1985, this was blue cheers first studio record since 1971 so this was 14 years in the waiting at the time of this release, wow it has been so so many years a good two decades since i last spun this lp and i FINALLY GOT THIS ON CD and spinning this disc now brings back fantastic memories of all the 1983 to 1985 megaforce records bands and blue cheer really stood out among other megaforce bands like metallica, raven, manowar, exciter and tt quick, this label was the label that broke metallica in 1984, anyway among the artists just mentioned blue cheer where considered an old band way back in janaury 1985 and wow though not thrash WHAT A HEAVEY RECORD THIS WAS AND STILL IS i dare to say this was about at good as there debut lp in 1968 but just got very overlooked at the time but wow songs like nightmares, girl next door and heart of the city bring back awesome teenage memories for me becouse me and my then fellow metal fans that hung out at lamour west in brooklyn way back then almost every weekend would spin this lp in the car on the way to brooklyn as i taped it from my lp ( wich i still have of coarse) to a cassete , anyway this is a total hard rock/ mid 80s sounding metal record and it is one of blue cheers best albums of all time i feel but , sadly for whatever reason the band disbanded again within a year of this release an it would be 5 years before we heard from them again after dickie and paul relocated to germany in 1989 and did the highlights and lowlives record in 1990 ( this beast is back blows that record away), also another great 1984 updated version of summertime blues is here to, great stuff all around!!!!! my only complaint is why the cd inlay has a different sleeve then the original lp, i know that sleeve was never much to write home about but i wish on cd reissues inlays/sleeves where not changed from there original sleeve, anyway awesome 5 STAR METAL BLUE CHEER RECORD FROM 1985!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
