(Please see 2018 update at the end)So, I was a bit disappointed. I'll give you the short version first:Short version: If this item were 10% worse, I would have sent it back. As it is I am slightly nervous with my son sitting on it, but I think it'll just barely manage.Long version: I knew I was going to be displeased when I saw the instructions. It's a text-free, pictures-only, set of pictorial instructions that leave out key assembly points. If you're not a reasonably-mechanical type, there is a very real danger you will assemble this chair in an unsafe fashion and not even know it until your kid cracks his face open when the chair falls apart. For example, it's up to you to realize that certain parts are intended to be jammed together (metal-to-plastic) very strongly to assure a fit; the diagrams merely show an arrow saying to put part A into hole B, which you can do, but without the ferocious jamming into the hole, it does not hold together. The parts are pretty much all plastic--only the absolute minimum of parts are metal (screws, and the core of the support strut). The whole bottom, wheels, back, wheel spokes, etc, that's all plastic. Definitely this is for children's weight. My wife said the chair "seemed displeased" when I sat on it. If your kid is, say, middle school age, you probably want to pass. It does raise and lower quite dramatically--I feel like there's maybe 12 inches of play; at its maximum height, it will be more than tall enough for a taller desk. At its minimum height, it's quite low to the ground. Anyway, it's assembled, one of the 90 degree angles is more like 85 degrees, but whatever. My kid is on it, it looks sturdy enough (barely) to handle the situation, and after admonishing my son several times that the chair is definitely questionable and not to abuse the chair or spin around in it or otherwise **** around in the chair, I think it'll do.But it was close. If this chair was only SLIGHTLY worse or slightly more poorly constructed, it would have gone back to Amazon. Definitely questionable. I do *NOT*, say again, do *NOT* feel like I got a decent value by saving a few bucks. If I could do it over, I would spend $30 more and get something far less borderline. I feel like the chair is more than $30 worse than a chair that would be $30 more expensive.Bottom line: It's serviceable, but really, it's more a value trap than a value play. If money is an issue, it'll do. But if it's not an issue, I suggest you explore other options that this fine online retailer offers.Hope this was helpful.---2018 Update! The chair is a little worse for the wear, and my son is now 5'4". He is still sitting on it, and to my surprise, it's really just fine. It's held up nicely, and physically, the chair is no worse off than the day I put it together. If I could go back in time, I would have been less skeptical.--2019 Update! We have retired the chair. It did hold up just fine. Who knew?I needed something simple and not bulky for my little girls room and this is perfect.I got this task chair for my niece, who is studying from home, and she likes this a lot. We needed a tall chair so she can sit comfortably and ergonomically. It was extremely easy to install, there were only 2 set of screws. Material wise, I'd say it's on the filmsy side but considering this as a kid's study chair - it satisfied all the check boxes. Plus the color is vibrant and my niece enjoyed it. The pad is not the thickest so you might want to add a memory foam seat pad to it.I read everyone else’s review just as I had purchased the purple version. I was regretful of the purchase, as the cost from the US here is a lot! However, I received the chair yesterday. It was VERY easy to build and I kept waiting for something to break off or find missing. But it was all good!! I even read the chair was only for young children to teen children, but the size is of a normal castor wheel computer chair. Yes, it does not have all the bells and whistles as some other similar chairs do, and it’s a bit flimsy but it’s a bright purple and pretty funky. My daughter went zooming around on it as soon as she got it, and loved it. Nothing fell off, nothing broke. It’s irritating when I ordered grey so it will be closer to white since my table is white and I was VERY DISAPPOINTED to received BLACK ! Very upset about it !!!!! I hate returning items too coz it’s very inconvenient for me! I was expecting it to be able to lift it higher but not at all !Two stars just because it’s a cute chair. I believe I got a chair that had been returned. The pink plastic that covers the metal base tube has oil stains. It seems like it had been assembled to the the metal center base that levels the chair height. The wheels were already attached to the base, the metal part that connects the seats had a screw mark on the white paint. It looks like this chair was once assembled. It’s a poor quality product. It got me for the looks. My daughter wanted a pink chair for her desk and this has a great visual appealing however has a poor quality and I honestly I believe I got someone else’s return. I also found the exactly same chair for $49,23 at Walmart online. The chair is cute and cheap, I agree on paying the Walmart price even knowing it’s not gonna last long because my daughter likes it. However I see no reason to spend almost $70 for a chair that has been returned by someone else.My 7-year-old uses this chair for her school work and gaming. She enjoys it but admits she isn't interested in reading from it. It is a great chair for being productive and encourages good posture during video conferencing. I highly recommend it, especially if your child prefers to sit or lie in bed during virtual learning or other settings. After reading several reviews regarding receiving damaged merchandise, I was skeptical. But I ordered the chair anyway because I wanted a pink chair. You can imagine my anxiety when I received a box with the words "DAMAGED" scribbled on the side. Upon inspecting the chair initially I did not see any flaws...until I set the chair up. A quarter of an inch of the right side of the chair back was cracked. I didn't feel like taking the chair apart, repackaging and shipping, so I used some epoxy glue and sealed the chair in shrink wrap to hold the pieces in place. The next day I unwrapped the chair and you could not tell so I am good to go. I am unsure if I can recommend the seller based on the fact that several customer complained of cracked chairs, then I received one. I would not want to take a chance and order something else or another chair and have the damage be unrepairable (is that a word?). I don't feel like I should have to repair "new" merchandise. The plastic trimming around the seat and the back piece were cracked. It doesn't affect the functionality of the chair at all but it is a noticeable defect. I like how easy the chair was to assemble and everything else is what I was hoping for so overall I'm happy with my purchase. Would have been a 5 star except for all the cracking in the plastic trim.Piece. Of. Crap. So cheaply made, plastic was already broken, pieces didn't fit together. 125$? It's worth maybe 1$. Don't waste your time! Was so disappointed, and felt disgusted that this company is actually selling something so cheaply made, for so much money. I'm thankful though for the great customer service of Amazon!Love the color but not too sure if it's steady enough. It works great for small spaces.Good and fast delivery ,as pictures looks
