Got this as a stopgap swimsuit because I could get it with next day delivery, whereas a grab bag swimsuit from my usual brand had already shipped, but was going to be several days and my old suit was literally not going to survive that long. It's maybe the least flattering swimsuit I've ever worn, and is somehow both too small (booty cannot be contained, apparently) and too big (straps are about 2" shorter than I'd expect). I ordered a 34, which is my standard swimsuit size in every other brand, and yet. It's a budget suit, so I can't complain too much about the quality- I knew what I was getting into there- but the cut and fit are both just bizarre. It will probably be going back into a box after my preferred suit arrives, and maybe it'll look and fit better after I shed those pounds I'm hoping to lose from the swimming, and after shortening the straps. If you've got hips that won't quit, maybe consider another brand, or at least a different cut of suit.Bought this suit in 32 and 34. The 32 is still too small around the ribs, but at least it's keeping it's shape. Feels like razor wire unless it's wet. The 34 didn't lay flat when I got it, but I was wearing it to lifeguard and figured it would be comfortable since it was mostly going to stay dry. A week later it was so stretched out (well over a size 40), I had to stop wearing it. What a waste. This suit is the weight of a traditional competitive swimsuit, so if you're familiar with those you understand they are lighter-weight, and you may get some show-through as they're not padded, don't have shelf bras, etc. That said, I tend to find some things can run smaller than they should with products on Amazon, so instead of ordering my typical competitive swimsuit size (32 or 34) I went with 36, which was definitely not the right size. The suit is too big for me, and I don't feel compressed in the torso and chest the way one should. I'll be open water swimming in it today but I think it might drag a bit in the water. That's not the suit's fault — it's user error.However.It is also a strange fit. I am 5'9", 158 lbs, very very swimmer-build physique with broad shoulders and straigh down the middle. The fit with this suit is unfortunately a bit too broad across the chest, even while fitting in the hips and butt (which I barely have). I am surprised it has this cone-like shape — and you'd think that would work for me — but it really doesn't. The biggest issue is that the piece that covers the midriff — which in the product photos looks as though it fully covers the sides of the model — does not cover my sides. It actually looks as though it has cutouts at exactly the love handle area, which is NOT FLATTERING lol. Like if there is one single part of my body I do not want a cutout for, it's the area just above my hipbones which even when I've been at my very leanest ripped weight, has never been the best part of me. So even though the suit is wide at the chest (providing no support), it curves in below the waist leaving bare sides, which is not how it's depicted. I'll upload pics but it isn't as obvious in the photos as it is in person. The other thing is if the cutout were at my (higher) waist, it might be a bit more flattering, but it sits low because I'm on the taller side, so yeah, love handle area. I can MAKE it go to my waist — but only by heisting the suit up much higher at the legs (and it will likely not stay there). Which is why I don't think sizing down would help too much (though it might be a bit better).Anyway, if you have a whittled waist and are used to ordering lower sizes as with all competitive swimsuits, this might be a great fit for you. I'd need to lose 15 pounds to make this one work for me. Hope this helps you decide on this one — cheers!I've been swimming all of my life and still compete in Masters. I often wear Nike cutout suits, which have a similar style. This suit fit looser than the Nike of the same size and because it is so low in the back, I don't have a lot of confidence wearing it when I'm doing a really hard workout (because it slides down even lower). It's okay for easy lap swimming or open water when no one is going to see anything underwater...I love the color!I ordered a 36, and I am 5'5" and 145 lbs. When I first put it on, I thought the straps were going to bust, but they didn't. I ordered this swimsuit to do laps in the pool, and it is more appealing than I expected. It shows a little more cheek in the back than most, the spaghetti straps give it a more sexy look, and the dips around your waist expose more of your back. The fabric is thinner than your typical sports swimsuit, so don't expect much tummy control.I'm wearing my new swimsuit for the very first time and I absolutely love it. It is so comfortable. I think I may order another one, maybe even a size smaller. The fit is as described and super comfy. Good to wear all day. I also ordered a Speedo men's Jammer at the same time. I often will wear both for a bit more coverage especially when doing open water.I ordered the 32, but I probably could have ordered a 34 as well, and it would have worked. The 32 is tighter and fits more as the suit should fit. The size 30 is what was recommended to me. I am 5'8" 130lbs, 35 chest and 35 hips. My torso is a bit long and the problem I often have is that the suits pull to much causing discomfort and self consciousness. This suit fits well and stays in shape when whet as well. The impressive thing about the suit if that the top fits comfortably, with slim straps that are designed well to cause less chaffing or digging into my shoulders or around my bra line.If you are taller than average or busty, you may want to size up one to avoid being pinched. I'm not an athletic swimmer but simply wanted a modest suit to wear to our community pool. This suit will be great for that purpose. This suit feels and fits are well as a higher priced brand name suit, in my limited opinion that stretches over 50 years. It's not shear either, and many pro suits need to be worn layered, two at a time.5 stars
