This Heligoats album marks the reunification of the drummer from Troubled Hubble and the lead singer of the same band. (and the Heligoats lead singer of course) It also means a shift in sound for those who were/are fans of Heligoats album as this has the hybrid feel of Troubled Hubble and the Heligoats. Being a fan of both of those groups, i enjoy this album quite well as it has some real rock out tunes and also some mellow grooves with amazing word play.Praise has been heaped upon this artist/group via NPR and rightfully so, they are a talented band. I think this is an album which as time goes on could be considered their best. Initially, with it's harder edge in some parts it could dissuade but stick with it and you will be rewarded with a fine albums worth of music.Also, right or wrong, i hear elements of Wilco a ghost is born...not in a feedback sort of way but in a guitar sound kind of way.Give the Heligoats some love, you won't be upset you did!
